The main important beaches among those that we are going to cover at Vacations India are:
Anjuna Beach
Only 18 km away from the capital Panjim, the foreign languages palpitate endlessly in the breeze of Anjuna Beach as you see the crowd of raving tourists having whale of a time in this former Portuguese colony. They often wish if only they could have transported this enchanting place to their country. The place is famous for its full moon beach parties that go on all through the night.
Baga Beach
Unbelievable, but true, there is a 30 km stretch of a beach in Goa and Baga beach consists only a part of it. Only 15 km away from Pamjim Log Protect, this beach is not that well known as the nearby Calangute Beach. On the northern side of the beach, a river meets the sea which also makes for a good sight for the tourists.
Benaulim Beach
Situated 7 km west of Margao, this place was barely known among the backpackers and now it boasts of every facility that a well known tourist place should have. The fields are giving way to resorts but right now this place is ideal to have a lazy and relaxing vacation, so, make the most of it.
Vagator Beach
Vagator is the nearest neighbour of Anjuna beach and you can come here via the Mapusa Road through the east. Before you reach the sea, all you’ll find here are the handful of small guesthouses and restaurants. It is a white sandy and relaxed beach and is for that traveller who has some time on his hands.
Colva Beach
This is a beautiful beach which has a stream passing through it. The villas around it are Portuguese in style and huts of the local fisher folks complete the picture. The area that is nearer the beach is somewhat different though as it has it all when it comes to providing facilities to the discerning tourists. Facilities such as hotels, stalls and bars dot the beach front. Click Here for more information!
Candolim Beach
The serenity and length of this beach compared to other beaches is quite noticeable and it extends up to the more commercialized Calangute beach. The village nearby is not centralized at one place which adds to the feeling of peacefulness of this beach. There are many starred as well as non starred hotels here. The beach is connected by road with Mapusa and Calangute.
